We had a good day today with about the same number of children. Two children responded to the invitation. I know it really excited the young lady that got to lead one girl to the Lord. That's what it's all about.
Here's some of the girls making matchstick crosses. I'm so grateful for all the wonderful workers we have this year! We discussed it tonight and agreed that the children are the best behaved we've ever had and I'm sure the workers are partly responsible for that.
Priscilla is working really hard to memorize 100 extra verses so she can win one of our "Mystery Prizes".
When the children, and workers, arrive in the morning they stop at the registration table where Naomi and I have been working. Each day they get a new masking tape name tag and get points for bringing their Bibles, friends, etc. If a child says a verse, both daily verses and extra, the leader that listened to them signs their slip of paper and they show it to us at registration so we can mark that down as well for points. They also collect a tootsie roll for each verse! Naomi also plays piano so when she's busy Hannah has been filling in. As the week goes on it gets to be more and more crazy at the registration as they review all verses they've learned. Anyway, I need to go, have a great evening!
Ooohhhh...the more pix I see the more I miss VBS!! :/ And I REALLY wish I could be there THIS week!! ;) I miss you all... I'm sure Ben's doing a great job with the missionary story! He's so intense when he tells stories...it's awesome. :) I always loved telling the missionary story!
