Our church guys went on their annual campout last night. Silas and Isaac each built themselves a shelter instead of using a tent and this is Silas'. Looks pretty cozy to me!
I just loved this picture Silas took of the tall, majestic trees.
Mr. H. did the cooking and planning. Looks like some of the younger guys enjoyed watching. They had a good time fellowshipping and having devotions, target shooting and tomahawk throwing. I think it's good for the guys to do this.
Today we had our Mother / Daughter church tea. It was really nice and encouraging. There was some sharing about the Proverbs 31 woman. The Bible I used for many years was missing this chapter. Shortly after I got the Bible my oldest daughter, not to name names ;) was just a baby and tore it out and ruined it. Of all chapters! Oh well! I'm happy for my two little mothers pictured! I'm also happy to be a mother, and out of all the jobs I could have dreamed of to do, God allowed me to have the best one of all! It's not easy, especially for these young mothers, I remember! It's still not easy, just a different kind of hard. I hope all you young mother's out there have a wonderful weekend! Try to have a long range look. Things that seem so hard today will be rewarded tomorrow. If I could start all over again with little children, I would love them so much more. I would be more patient (at least I hope I would be!). I'm glad for a chance to be a grandma with little people to love and to practice patience. I also feel so blessed to have a wonderful mother of my own and a wonderful mother-in-law! God is so good!
"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her."
Proverbs 31:28
