What!?!? The Bull is Out? Or is He In?

Arthur's dad called this morning to let us know the bulls were out of their pasture.  Before Arthur even got to them, one bull found the eight foot deep trench at Amos' house!  This trench is for the water lines to the barn he's building.  Anyway, the bull fell in somehow, he's just fine, and walked up and down the trench until the guys dug a ramp of sorts at the end for him to get out.  Made our morning a little more interesting anyway!
We've been baling hay this week.  We do a lot of square bales because they work best in our old barn.  We did get a lot of round bales done as well.  With how hot it's been we made everyone drink and drink to avoid anyone getting sick.  The hay is beautiful and smells so good!  Anyway, it's been a long week and we can't wait for Sunday to get some rest!  All the guys have been getting up by six, maybe seven, and work till dark and the girls are pretty close to the same schedule.  With the sun not going down till around ten it makes for some long days.  I noticed you can actually still see the sunset at eleven at night!

Priscilla enjoyed raking with the old Farmall tractor.  Now we badly need some rain.  I can't help but think with the droughts, fires and floods our country is having that God is trying to get our attention.  Sadly, few are listening.

Well, that's it for now on the farm.  Have a wonderful day wherever you are and take some time to sit under a fan and drink some ice tea!
