Isaac is getting ready to send his furs to the fur auction, but first had to get the fur picture that trappers love to take each year. There's a lot of hard work in this picture! Most furs get shipped to Russia or China but this year Russia isn't importing them, or something like that, so the prices are really down. I don't understand it all, but its amazing how what happens so far away impacts something like beaver pelts in America. I know a lot of ladies wouldn't appreciate a son having smelly pelts in the house, in his room, but I worked at a mink ranch for about seven years before I got married. That really made me appreciate fur and I enjoy seeing his catches and examining them.
