On top of our fridge sits a box from 'Glorybee' with different flavors of honeysticks. They are so good we limit everyone to one a day or else they'd be gone way faster than we can afford to replace them. Our favorites are the wild watermelon, sour raspberry, peach and amarretto. While the flavored ones are mostly for good healthy snacks, I also enjoy studying the health properties of honey. Honey is like a natural antibiotic and in some parts of the world doctors use it on wounds before they bandage them up. When the children were little I used it on diaper rash! Really! It's really good on burns, little ones that is, and stops the ouch some. We've tried it on quite a few things. You do have to be careful though because honey really gets runny after it hits the skin! In the Bible its put up there right with milk in value as long as it's not taken in too large of quanities. Someday I'd love to try raising bees for our own honey. Anyway, if you're looking for a healthy snack check 'Glorybee' out. While you're at it, check out the health benefits. As much as we love honeysticks, we need to remember what it says in Psalm 19:10 about the law, statues, and fear of the Lord. "More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb." May we always desire God's word, His statues, and the fear of the Lord over our worldy desire for the sweetness of honey. Have a great day!
