It's Been a Great Day!

The guys and a few of the girls went fishing today and got 70 fish!!! They had to throw back three of them because there's a slot limit on our lake. That means any walleye between 19 and 28 inches have to be thrown back in with the hope that someday they'll be trophy fish. Anyway, Caleb got a 28"+ one and he was thrilled to keep after throwing back two in the slot limit. I think God must've felt sorry for him and let him get a big one! Rebekah's dad also got a 26" one that had to be thrown back. Anyway, they had a great time even though a lot of them were perch. Anytime you keep pulling them up it's fun.

Those of us left at home took it easy today and did catch up on laundry, a little housework, naps, etc. We put away the 48 jars of spaghetti sauce we canned yesterday. I think it's the best spaghetti sauce I've ever made in quite a few years.

We've had a few thunderstorms the last couple of days keeping the guys out of the field but meanwhile the boys and Arthur have been taking turns milking the cows. They have been having so much fun getting dirty, playing games, and other "boy-like" things.

I'm so thankful for good friends! We've also really enjoyed having Rebekah's family around. We've had fun calling each other "Grandma" and "Grandpa" and admiring baby Daniel. He is so cute!!! Have a great evening!
