Arthur, Amos, Isaac, and Silas all went to help a neighbor and three vets TB test some buffalo this morning. You don't want to get too close to these guys! There is a clause in the TB requirements that says something like, you don't have to test an animal if a persons life is endangered. So, the two big bulls were exempt which only made sense. Arthur did some of the work with shutting the gate on their heads and vaccinated them. Silas took a lot of video clips and I'll try to post a couple.
The Bible says in James 3:7 -8, "For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind; But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." If you look at these big buffalo that are somewhat "tamed" (as in, fenced in and not allowed open range wherever it chooses, and fed by man), it makes sence that we have such a battle with our tongues. Many sins that we commit are done with the tongue and yet God does want us to control them. It's hard work TB testing buffalo but how much more important to work on controlling the tongue.
