Arthur and I have been married 23 years today. Wow, does time go fast! I'm afraid my scanner isn't the greatest so these pictures are a little off color and fuzzy.
Here's our wedding party. The farthest left is Arthur's sister, then my two sisters. The farthest right is my cousin and Arthur's neighbor growing up, the one next to him was Arthur's christian school teacher, and his best man was the camp director where we worked for a few summers with CYIA. We went to South Texas for our honeymoon although we spent the first night at the Shook Hotel! There was a dog sled race going on in the area and so we listened to dogs howling all night long in trailers outside the motel. We also went in the ditch right by the driveway of the motel. Arthur's best man saw it on his way home and pulled it out for us. We were gone six weeks and used some of that time to help out at the Roloff Evangelistic Enterprises in Corpus Cristi.
We've had a great marriage and Arthur has been such a wonderful husband. We first "dated" when we were 13 and so we've known each other a long, long time. In fact we went to the same church and were usually in the same class in school all those years until he went to the Christian School in our 11th grade year. We saved our first kiss for the wedding so that was special. God has been so good to us in giving us so many years together to serve Him and in giving us seven wonderful children and now a daughter-in-law and grandson. If the Lord doesn't return, I look forward to growing old with Arthur and seeing what He has in store for us in the years to come. Happy Anniversary, Arthur, I love you!
