Is it a Catfish or an Eel?

Actually, the locals call them burbitts and they do look like a cross between a catfish and an eel. It's an ugly fish to be sure and although some people do eat them, we throw them to the cats. If you've eaten fishsticks, you might've had burbitt since they harvest them for that.

Here's a pressure ridge on the lake where the ice buckled up. Not something you'd want to drive over or accidentally hit with a snowmobile!
We just can't get enough of Daniel! It's amazing how someone so little who can't talk or even crawl can be so entertaining and expressive! Rebekah's family leaves today so our house will feel empty like it did after the Peck family left.

  2. It's pretty amazing how much pressure really is out there...you can't believe it until you see pix of ridges like you have! :) Daniel is such a little doll...does he ever get put down, or is someone always holding him?? :) LOL.

  3. Daniel is truly BEAUTIFUL! God gave that boy the biggest and most expressive eyes I have ever seen. He is going to be a hard little fellow to ever say "no" to. Blessings as you all train that little guy for Jesus sake. The Inions.
