Corn Planting

It is so cold out, but, if the fields are dry, you plant corn. Yesterday Arthur and his dad started their field work by planting corn in one of the fields. We had a few beautiful warm days and now the cold has returned so we're really praying that it will warm up before petunia planting. One year it was cold when we planted and everyone's hands got stiff, red and sore. They like us to have them done before Memorial Day so that's our goal. But for now, Arthur and my father-in-law are so happy to be out in the field working with the soil. I'm not sure what's more fun, seeing new little calves or seeing the fields planted! I guess it's just a reminder after a long winter that spring does come. Just like God says in the Bible -
Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth,
seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat,
and summer and winter,
and day and night shall not cease.
Have a great day!
