On the Farm

Many years the fall work is all done by now, but not this year. Late last night the guys were out getting the first of our flax straw. My father-in-law does the flax, and we do the straw. We have a lot of happy customers now, who buy the bales to put around their houses or over their septic systems for the winter.

Things don't always go as planned. The electricity to the machine shed has had problems for a few years now, so today they put in all new wires to the shed. There were trenches all over from the pole to the shed.

Then there's the axle that broke. Mmm. Wonder how that happened? Guess we're lucky it made it home from the field before it broke.

Naomi and Aaron keep life interesting :) Last night they went out on a date with Arthur and I.

David had his first Sunday in church. We had a potluck for Pastor's appreciation Sunday. Our pastor, my father-in-law has been doing a series on Joseph. What a good example of somone who didn't get bitter even though he had so many reasons to, and also a good example of forgiving those that have done you harm.

It seems like there's always a batch of kittens somewhere.

On Saturday the guys went out to the barn and noticed water coming up out of the ground by a hydrant. Not good. So, they dug a nice, deep, nine foot hole, and yes, Caleb and Isaac fixed the broken pipe. Talk about mud!
We've been watching Daniel in the evenings when Amos milks the cows to give Rebekah a break. This picture was taken at their house where Daniel is excited to get his hands on his dad's checkbook!

Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing to hard for me?
