Yesterday we headed for Grand Forks to send Caleb back to IL for Christmas on Amtrak. Well, it was suppose to leave at 12:50 am, got changed to 2:40 am, at which point we said our goodbyes so Arthur and I could take advantage of the motel we had reservations in. Well, he called at about 8:30 this morning and said the train didn't leave till 7:00 am! Yes, he'll miss a connecting train so who knows when he'll get home. (I guess it's a good thing the flash reflection in the window isn't a train!)
Anyway, we'll all miss you, Caleb! You have added a touch of spice to our lives with your ever present hillarious humor. You are a good example of a godly young man and our door is always open for you! Thanks for all your hard work, encouragement, and laughter! We will be praying for you that God's will in your life will be clear.
Meanwhile, Arthur and I did a heap of shopping. He has his favorite stores, Cabelas, Scheels, Menards, Fleet Farm (which I like too), etc, while I prefer Gordmans, Walmart, Sam's Club, etc. Anyway, we had tons of fun together both in Grand Forks and Fargo and I'm almost done shopping for Christmas. The stores weren't overly busy and the weather was not too bad - I think the high today was 4 below zero or something. At least we aren't in the blizzard south of us.
Well, the girls tell me I'm suppose to be wrapping some of those gifts, anyone want to volunteer? I don't care for wrapping things. So, I better go. Have a great evening counting God's blessings!
We got in the blizzard "south" of you! My husband and I were spending time in Iowa for the week with friends and the storm hit here. It's not too bad right where we're at and we're heading home to Michigan tomorrow hoping to miss it there as well!
