Basic Ministry Training

The last couple of days we've had what we called, "Basic Ministry Training" for the young people that help out with VBS, fair ministry, and other things our church does.  I think everyone had a good time and learned a lot.  Here's my nephew Matthew telling the wordless book for practice.

My nephew Ronnie also practicing outloud to himself.  You can see Miriam and Elizabeth in the background telling the Wordless Book to a wall.  Sometimes it's easier to practice by yourself before telling a lesson to someone else.

My father-in-law, Arthur, Isaac, and Reuben did the teaching with lessons on telling the Wordless Book, counselling a person for salvation, and lots more.  You can see some of our VBS decorations in the background.  We try to get them up before Sunday of VBS to get the kids excited.

Here's Josiah leading a song.  Reuben taught Basic Songleading.

Jeshua leading a song.

I think the highlight for some of them was practicing for a skit for VBS.  Every day we have a theme skit that continues each day and this year it's a western skit.

Well, I thought Mr. and Mrs. B. would enjoy seeing these!

  1. It really is fun to dress-up, isn't it? Are you Krahn girls sewing any special dresses these days? :) My dress is currently at a stand-still, but hopefully I'll be able to work on it more this weekend...

I'm really looking forward to meeting you soon, Lord willing!
