Maze Prep

Yesterday was a nice, pleasant home day.  Today is pleasant too but we have two groups coming out to the maze this evening so we go through "Maze Prep".   Priscilla makes pretzel sticks.

Priscilla also makes cookie dough brownies.  Hosanna makes popcorn balls.  She's made 378 giant popcorn balls so far.  Miriam fills water balloons for the giant slingshot.  Last weekend she filled over 1,000 of them!

Today I priced food from Natural Way Mills to sell.  A great place to get good organic food and not too far from here.

I also made a few more jar mixes and post-it holders.  They're really cute, I'll post on them some other time.

Plus, we make more maps and game cards. I had promised myself I would have them all printed at once this year but it never happened.  We clean up the maze from the last maze day.  Straighten the Granary and concession stand and restock everything.  And whatever else needs doing.  Like today for example.  It froze pretty hard last night so today, with a lot of help, we picked all the pumpkins and put them in piles to make it easier to cover tonight when we get another hard frost.  Kinda hoping the frost would've held off a couple more weeks.  It makes the corn in the maze kinda ugly and thinner.  It will still be a You-Pick type patch but people will have to pick them from our piles!

A dark picture inside the Granary.  It's a great place to hang out if we get a quick rain shower. No, we haven't had too many of them.  It's still really dry.

Miriam having a little fun this last weekend when it hit the upper 80's.  Quite a change from today.

Thank you girls for your help!

If you think of it, please pray for the family of a young man who was killed in a motorcycle accident close to our place.

Please pray too for us and the next few weeks.  We have a lot of groups coming in addition to our regular days and we all get tired, and cranky, and it's hard to survive!  Did you know that being really busy and under stress is a great way to test a person's character and walk with God?!  Ah, we do love the maze, tiredness and all!

Have a great evening!
