Homeschool Tournament 2012

Well, I didn't think the Homeschool Tournament was really over till I blogged about it.  It was a really good day.  I think we had a total of 76 students and without the help of lots of volunteers we couldn't have done it.  Thank you, those that helped!!!  One of the most fun areas to watch is the chess tournament.  Well, it's not really much of a spectator sport, but fun to watch for awhile anyway!
We had three written tests that quite a few tried.
Isaac was the judge for the table tennis tournment.
Hosanna did some judging with the US puzzle.  In teams of two the students are timed to see how fast they can put it together.
Rachel M. trying out the Lego Challenge.  How many blocks high can you make a tower and still have it stand alone in one minute?  Well, the record was 58 by Ronnie C.  We had three age groups for most events.
There was a steady lineup at the speed stacking.

One of the neat displays was about the Bengal Tiger Cat.  My picture doesn't do justice to this very cool looking cat!
Daniel and David can't wait for the day to play chess like the big guys!  Daniel already moves the pieces around and loves to say, "Check".

Thank you again, those of you that helped!
