Ohio

After enjoying the beauty of Michigan, we headed east, stopping at the Lehman's store in Kidron, Ohio. I've seen some of you blog about Lehmans and is it ever an experience type store!  I absolutely loved the short one hour we had there.  We didn't even see the whole place but what we saw was so fun!  I have ordered from them in the past and knew one thing I really wanted to get there - a butter mold.  I got it and made a mental list of other things to get someday. Lehmans is surrounded by Amish farms and we so enjoyed the buggies, Amish folks, and seeing them plowing their fields with horses.  (can you tell we're not well travelled people :)  I told Arthur that someday, when we have more time, I want to come back here and enjoy the area and the store.

Okay, I wanted to post so much more tonight but I can't get the rest of the photos to download, and I'm really busy getting reading for our church's ministry training days starting tomorrow.  Maybe tomorrow night.  Have a great evening!

  1. I'll have to look up lehmans. Interesting about the butter mold, because my mom was looking for one awhile back. :) Hope you all enjoyed your travelling to the East. :)

  2. I have shopped there on three different occasions. I love that store! What a beautiful area! I enjoy it each time we go down there, though I live in Michigan's Amish country, have many Amish neighbors and so on. Still it's a treat to go there.

  3. This is one of my favorite 'local' stores! We visit several times each year. I can easily spend hours browsing the many rooms. I make the forty five minute drive down to Amish country every six to eight weeks for all of our cheese, dried spices, and other bulk foods. It is a wonderful place to explore should the opportunity be presented to you again.
