This and That

I realize our posts this winter have been few and far between.  It has been such an "average" winter there isn't much to share.  Anyway, here's what we've been up to.

Arthur - Arthur rescued a newborn calf out of the gutter in the barn this morning.  The calf was fine. He's also been working on the addition and the never ending job of feeding cattle and giving them straw to stay warm.

Myself - Actually I'm already working on maze stuff, VBS stuff, homeschool tournament stuff, and that type of thing.  Today I got a new pile of books and such ready for our church library.

Isaac - Went fishing today with his nephews and got a few nice fish.  He's also been studying chiropractic type stuff on his own.  He's getting pretty good!

Miriam - She's really excited right now because we have company coming tomorrow! Naomi and the little girls! She's the only one that really enjoys long walks in 30 below weather. Miriam is also plugging away on her Bible correspondence classes.

Hosanna - She just finished memorizing Ephesians.  Spends hours playing piano, gives some lessons, keeps our house and others clean.  She's embroidering some pillowcases she got for Christmas that are really pretty.

Silas - He's excited about the Comp TIA+ class he's taking through ITon Ramp.  Seems kinda deep to me but will be very helpful if he can learn it all.  Pretty much lives in the barn these days cleaning and cleaning and milking and such. Good thing big brother Amos helps out!

Priscilla - It's so easy to get behind on school during maze season so she's working really hard to get caught up.  She's also making a gorgeous embroidered table topper.  I'll post a picture of it someday.

Family - We just got through "The Way of the Master" DVD course for family devotions. Challenging!  We got an Azure Standard order today with some really good fruit and other stuff.   We're going through the Advanced IBLP seminar in church on Sundays.  Very good!

Well, that wraps it up!  I'll close with a quote from Charles Spurgeon.

“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”

  1. Great to hear about what y'all have been busy with lately. Thanks for posting. Congratulations to Hosanna for finishing Ephesians! I just memorized Ephesians last year, so it's exciting to hear of others who are doing the same thing! :-)
