2018 Corn Maze & Other Stuff!

Happy 18th Birthday, Ella! Enjoy the post!
I haven't done a maze post yet this year so here it is, all in one post plus a few other pictures thrown in! We had a dairy theme and gave out dairy treats a few weekends. Here's Miriam and our Pumpkin Princess Rachel giving out Root Beer Floats.

The flowers looked so pretty! I really need to plant these in my garden! Planted them so thick that we didn't even weed them!

Josh came up to help us in a couple of our busier weeks so Arthur took him and Mathias out goose and duck hunting.

Our church came out to the maze one night and there were a few trailers of hayrides given.

We also had a campfire service around the campfire and in the picnic shelter because of the cold.

Priscilla kinda ran the store again this year when she wasn't helping Hosanna with food. We also had a lot of other great workers!! I didn't get a lot of pictures of them this year though :(

One of our new activities was Footgolf. Kinda like a mini golf game but you kick a ball around to get it in the holes.

Marie?

This is the third year my sisters and I have headed down to Fargo for an after maze shopping trip! We stay at the gorgeous Staybridge Suites and shop and laugh, and talk serious, and laugh some more! Sisters are wonderful!! (I forgot, we eat at lots of fun restaurants too!)

Arthur found some willing hunters to go out goose hunting in the rain with him!

More goose hunting with the grandsons. They enjoyed putting on face camo!

After hunting they hunted for potatoes that Arthur dug up!

It snowed one weekend at the maze! It actually was quite nice and those that came out really enjoyed it!

The grandkids loved the escape room at the maze so we did an escape room / treasure hunt for them that they loved!

Figuring out codes.
Arthur had another birthday and a girl in our church made him a "beard" to keep warm this winter!
This is what our maze "Corn Cops" do when they aren't on duty!
Our workers took advantage of the snow to create a masterpiece! Notice the creative use of squash and mini pumpkins!

And the treasure! (out of order)

So that sums up maze season 2018. Now we are finally getting back to normal! Whatever that is!! Most of the maze stuff is put away, the garden is harvested, and the house is once again clean. Arthur is getting things ready for the fall calf shipping which means lots of vaccinations, and moving cattle with Isaac. Miriam is helping me with a painting project. Priscilla is back to book writing. Hosanna, well, lets just say she has someone else to keep her busy! So life goes on!
Meanwhile, don't forget to vote next week and pray for the elections. While we all know that the government can't change people's hearts, God does use the government in our lives, so it's worth praying about!!

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority,
the people rejoice:
but when the wicked beareth rule,
the people mourn.
