Naomi Plays "Sonata in A Major, Op. 120, D. 664, First Movement, Allegro Moderato"
Naomi takes piano lessons from Miss Knutilla's piano studio in Thief River Falls. Once a year she has a recital weekend with three concerts and this last weekend Naomi played in two of them. These aren't ordinary recitals! There were four grand pianos and two others and so not only did we get to enjoy individual pieces we got to hear duet, trios, quartets, etc. on up to 10 playing at one time! We got to be there Friday night when Naomi played her solo and on Saturday she was in some of the larger groups. I was amazed at how gifted some of the younger children were. Even a six year old boy played a piece from heart and it was fairly long. One blind man played in a duet. I really appreciate Naomi's piano playing as throughout the day she sits down and plays hymns and songs of faith. She's worked hard and it doesn't come easy for her. We're also enjoying seeing her share her love of piano with not only her siblings but others she's started to teach as well. God is so good!

Congratulations! It sounds like there was some pretty impressive playing & arrangements! I'm glad it went well for you.
ReplyDelete(But I'll bet you're glad it's over--I know my siblings are looking forward to getting done with their violin & piano recital!)
