The Cows Are Out...

Every so often we get a call from one of the neighbors letting us know the cows are out. It was just about time for chores when a neighbor called today so Isaac went to get them. (They do look content though don't they!) Usually they get out because someone left the gate open, like today, or if there's a strong wind, like today, a tree or branch falls on the fence. It doesn't take them long to realize the fence is dead with no electricity flowing through it.
Getting cows is so much more fun on a 4-wheeler. We're rather partial to the Polaris ones because they're made about 20 miles from here and we know lots of the people that work there. Artic Cat ones are made about 2 hours away. So if you see either of them advertized, they're from this neck of the woods.

We worked hard today doing some last minute clean up before our company arrives. Rebekah is so excited to show little Daniel to her family! We'll be keeping some friends of theirs at our house. It's hard cleaning to get ready for company but even harder to wait for them to come.

Hey, the UPS truck is here, I better go. Have a great evening.

  1. I would have to agree, it IS BETTER with 4 wheelers... :) Hey, I've really enjoyed keeping up with your blog, and I thought maybe you would enjoy reading Emily Schuurmans' blog!! She tries to write things that are spiritually uplifting or thought-provoking, and uses her own photography...I think she does a GREAT job!! Anyway, here's the link if you're interested:
