Congratulations!

I finally got a picture of my new niece - Melita Moriah Constance Conroy. Isn't she adorable!! Melita was born on Sunday and was 8 lbs 13 ozs. As you can see, Mom and baby are doing fine and big brothers and sister are really enjoying a baby in the house.
The girls wanted me to post a picture of the portzleky we made yesterday. The "Portzleky" are a german "new-years cookie", which to everyone else they might be called raisen fritters. We only make them around New Years and roll them in sugar. There's suppose to be raisens in them but we put craisens in them this year and so there you have it, another tradition we follow around here.

The kids are all headed to a New Years Eve party at church tonight but I think I'm going to stay home, maybe scrapbook some, maybe go to bed early. Have a great evening!

  1. She's a very cute little baby...I wish she had been born BEFORE we left!!! :) Grandma said that the only thing missing from her name is a "Senorita" at the beginning...LOL. :)

  2. Oh! Congrats to Ellen and family! What a sweetheart!

And the portzleky! That photo brings back memories. It's been 20+ years since I remember having one. I had hoped to make some this year and start the tradition with my boys but couldn't quite seem to swing it. Thank you for sharing!
