Cheesemaking

We've tried making mozzarella cheese three times and this time it finally got stretchy. I have no idea what we did wrong the other times unless it was the citric acid we added this time. It seems like it had too much rennet in it though so next time we'll adjust that. It was kinda neat stretching all that cheese. We rolled it into balls and rolled some of them in garlic salt and parsley. At least they look neat even if they do taste a little rubbery from too much rennet!
More fish! Are you all getting sick of fish photos? Probably, but my children keep telling me to post this picture, or that picture, so you'll have to endure for the life of this blog. This has been the best fishing we've seen in a long time on Lake of the Woods. My prayer is that my children would desire to fish for men as much or more than they do fishing for walleye. Isaac was excited to share about a boy that got saved at a club yesterday which makes all the work worth it.
Have a great day enjoying God's blessings!

  1. Hey that's awsome! I know what you mean. We had two kids saved at club today and it's such a good reminder how important it is to do these clubs.

  2. Wow, your cheese looks really yummy!! :) I don't even want to know how many pounds of cheese (especially string cheese) I've eaten since I've been pregnant...but I guess if I'm gonna crave something, that's not a bad thing. :)
