Graduation

Well, today was graduation day for Hosanna.  Here's her lovely finished cake.

The graduation started off with Nathan leading the congregation in a hymn, and another one later in the program.  Josh did some scripture reading.
Emily and Hadassah played their flutes with Hosanna on the piano.

Al of the graduates sang a hymn together.

One by one the graduates were called up to recieve their diplomas.  Each dad said a few words.

Arthur's Dad, our Pastor, gave each of the grads a nice new Bible as well as had a devotional.

Then of course the grads stood in the receiving line.

Followed by an open house reception for all the grads.  You can't see the other part of the room but we took out the nursery walls giving us a lot more space for things like this.  Guess the nursery got too small anyway with all the babies born this year!

So congratulations, Hosanna, on finishing your schoolwork!  Your learning is just beginning!!  We love you and appreciate the joy you bring to our house.

So, it was a nice day, and I knew family that couldn't make it would enjoy the pictures.  Have a great long weekend remembering those who gave their lives that we might be free to live in this great country of ours, free to educate our children however we see fit, and be free to worship God.

  1. I loved the pictures. They brought back so many homeschool memories. My daughter's graduation looked so similar. All of her class formed their own worship team--very talented, I might add! Each parent got to give their child their diploma and make a few remarks! Congratulations on your accomplishment! Also thank you for the patriotic reminder for the weekend! Blessings to you!
