Our Trip

Well, Arthur and I have had a good week.  There were some disappointments, one of being half way to Tennessee and finding out the conference we were headed to was cancelled because of the weather.  We also didn't get to visit the S. family or the G. families down there like we had planned.  Someday!  Another being the long way through Ohio we went to see something Arthur really wanted to see and then being told they didn't give tours.  We did go to the Creation Museum - someplace everyone should go.  We spent two days reading everything and watching all the videos and two planetarium shows.  It was nice that with the storm, we pretty much had every place we went all to ourselves!

We loved how lifelike the "people" seemed.

Here's an animated Noah telling us about the ark.

And the dinosaurs were fantastic!  Unfortunately due to the weather we didn't get to see their outdoor things.

Of course we spent a lot of time in the Dragon Hall bookstore!

This dinosaur moved it's head and tail around as it "ate" leaves.

We stopped by a model T museum next to a fantastic candle store.  In fact, we stopped here and there a lot!

One night we splurged and got a room at a theme motel.  This room was the Tennessee cave room with stalagmites and all.  Really neat!  You can see the whirlpool tub on the right.

And the other side of the room.  The motels were almost empty so we had the pools to ourselves which Arthur really enjoyed.  Overall, we just plain had a good time together, spent a lot of time praying for our children, and eating out.  We tried to hit all places to eat we'd never been at least once a day.  Not hard for us because we don't eat out much, but at least now we know what a Steak and Shake is, among others.

I guess the kids didn't post while we were gone like I suggested.  They skated, watched tons of videos, and waited for Rebekah to have that little baby!  It's okay, Rebekah, we're patient!

They were kinda scary! :)

  1. Sounds like a good trip anyway...and your cave room looks AWESOME!!!! :) Daniel & I will have to find someplace like that to stay for fun sometime. :) Someday I really want to go out to the Creation Museum again...I loved it there, and Daniel's never been, so it would be fun to go again. Now that you're home maybe Rebekah will have her baby!! :)
