I'm So Excited!

Since we've started the cornmaze, I've been wanting a small building for a "country store".  Well, when Arthur asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day this year, I told him I'd love that old grainery in our yard moved to the maze for my store.  Dad, Arthur's Dad, who owns the bin, gladly gave his okay, actually a while ago, and helped Arthur move it today.  I'm excited!  Yes, It needs some work but it has a lot of character.  As for the store, well, I'm not sure what will all be in it.  Silas said we could make it into a family museum!  I think he's just looking for a place to store his bottle collection.  Maybe we'll sell some of them!!  I'm thinking more like tee shirts since we've had a number of people ask why we don't sell them, maybe a few crafty things.  We'll see.
Naomi was over last night since Aaron was out of town.  She was practicing making petit fours.  For those that haven't made them, they are really messy and kinda difficult.  Anyway, she tried four different glazes to see which was the best.  Some were thick and globby, others were perfect.  We thought they were cute and gave the chocolate ones the best rating.  Red and pink?  Well, those are the colors of my nieces wedding so she figured she better practice in the wedding colors.

Well, have a wonderful evening and count your many blessings, see what God hath done!

  1. You should do a bunch of canning this summer to sell in your store!! Jams & jellies seem to do especially well in country stores. :) Thomas' fiancee has done that for quite a few years along with homemade baked goods, and I think she's done pretty well!
