Priscilla's Promotion!

PRISCILLA HERE-

How much time do you spend memorizing?
Hosanna and I are competing in the Bible Bee this year for the third time.  I would strongly encourage
EVERYONE!
from the ages of 7 to 18 to be in it.  Now you may be thinking, "I could never do that." Even though it is hard, if you learn just half of the verses in the Bee and do really bad at the local competition day,
you can never go wrong learning scripture!
If you learn the verses really well and ignore the rest, you're learning more than if you weren't in the Bible Bee.  You don't have to do the family work book or learn all the verses but
you should at least try!
And if you're going to be in it,
you might as well do your best
and learn as much as you can.  I've been in the Bible Bee two years and I've never learned all the verses, and I've never gone to the National Bible Bee as a competitor, and even though it's been hard and I could have done better, I think I've learned a lot and been blessed.  I want to learn all the verses in my category this year and do my best but it would be
a lot more fun if you were ALL in it too!
The lessons you will learn by spending your free time memorizing
will last you a lifetime!!
You'll find out that you can actually do a lot more brain work than you think you can! So go to
and sign up!

  1. Good encouragement Priscilla!! I am doing the bible bee too.
I know I probably will not memorize all the verses , but every verse you learn is very worth the time you put into memorizing it!

  2. I never really thought about it until I found this blog. I realized how many religions, other than the one I belong to, put so much emphasis on scripture memorization!
Last summer I started helping my kids with memorizations more often - Daily!
I think it's a good thing and agree with you!
