Thistles

Silas was out in the pasture yesterday and caught a picture of a bee on what we think are called bull thistles.  They look like something that should grow in a dessert.  Anyway, there are four kinds of thistles that all look pretty similar but this fits the bull thistle description.  He took a sample of this thistle in the house and I would guess no cow will touch it with it's very sharp barbs.  It is really pretty though, like a lot of things that are dangerous in life that look good till you actually "touch" them.
